This characterizes no wagering bonuses
Sometimes you may be lucky enough to come across a bonus with no wagering requirements at all. In short, it means that you can keep all the winnings you may win when you play with the bonus. The advantage of these bonuses is that the chance of being left with a win is considerably greater than if you play with wagering requirements. No wagering bonuses often come as part of the welcome bonus in a casino. For example, there are some casinos that hand out free spins with no wagering requirements to new players. Sometimes there is a deposit requirement to get the bonus, and other times you can actually get a deposit-free bonus with no wagering requirements. The latter is by far the best form of bonuses in our opinion. Without a deposit or wagering requirement, there is nothing to lose by receiving the bonus and trying your luck.
The size of non-wagering bonuses can vary. Between €5 and €10 is very common for deposit-free bonuses without wagering requirements. Or possibly 10-20 free spins. With deposit bonuses, it is not uncommon to see significantly larger amounts. Such bonuses are usually distributed as a percentage of the deposit you make, and can be anywhere from 25 to 500 percent of the deposit amount. Very often we see a so-called “match bonus” – ie a bonus of 100%. Such bonuses can be anywhere from €50 to several hundred euros. However, it is very rare for these bonuses to have no wagering requirements.
The difference wager and wager-free bonuses
In order to make it easier to understand what turnover requirements are, it may be okay with two examples that show how the requirements work in practice. The wagering requirements are usually between 20 and 50 times in the casino section and between 5 and 10 times in the sports section. In addition, there are often requirements for betting on minimum odds on sports.
Example 1: Play with wagering requirements
In an imaginary case, a player is awarded a bonus of 100% up to €100 with a wagering requirement of 25x. Before you can withdraw any winnings from this bonus, you must meet the wagering requirement. This means that you must have a turnover of €2,500 before the turnover requirement is met. As you can see, there is a certain risk that what you have gained will be lost along the way. Had the deposit also been included in this, one would have had to turn over as much as €5,000, ie double before winnings could be taken out.
Example 2: Games without wagering requirements
With a similar bonus with no wagering requirements, winnings can be withdrawn immediately. If you bet €100 and win €650, you must not sell the €650 you have won. You can make withdrawals right away!
Always check bonus terms and conditions 
Even no wagering bonuses often come with some form limitation, for example on how much money you can win with the bonus.
One way the casinos do this is by setting the maximum amount you can win with the bonus. Those who distribute such often put an amount between €100 and €1,000. Thus, the casino insures itself for the largest payouts. This can be sad to discover after a huge win, so we encourage you to check the terms and conditions in your casino before you get started.
Another thing most casinos do is require you to play for the deposit amount before playing with the bonus. Thus, you are forced to leave all your own money before you give away the bonus amount. This acts as a kind of loss minimization for the casinos.
You should also be aware of the following: Withdrawal of bonus winnings before the entire bonus amount has been used up usually leads to the remaining bonus amount being lost. Not necessarily a big deal if you won big on your first spin, but something to be aware of. For example, if you have €50 left of your bonus amount when you win €60, the remaining bonus amount will be lost if you choose to withdraw the €60.
In addition, it is worth noting that virtually all bonuses “without wagering requirements” actually have a wagering requirement of 1x. In other words, you can withdraw winnings you win with the bonus, but not the bonus amount itself. This is to prevent players from claiming a turnover-free bonus of e.g. €100 and then withdraw the money immediately, without playing in the casino.
Choose no wagering bonuses
If you have to choose between different bonuses, it will almost always pay to go for the no wagering bonuses. Then there is ultimately a greater chance of being left with a win. And even if you get a wager-free bonus of €5 with a maximum win of €100, the potential win is still €100 without any own risk.
